The Gym Near Kingsbarns That Feels Like Home

A Proper Gym, Just Down the Road from Kingsbarns

If you live in or around Kingsbarns and you've been hunting for a gym that actually takes training seriously, Kilo Club is worth the short drive. We're an independent, strength-focused gym at 56a Largo Road in St Andrews (KY16 8RP), roughly ten minutes from Kingsbarns along the coast road.

Kilo Club was built by our owner Ruadhan as a home for people who love training. That means strength athletes, bodybuilders and functional-training enthusiasts, but it also means everyone in the local community who just wants to get stronger and feel good. If you're new to lifting, you'll fit in here. If you've been at it for years, you'll fit in here too.

Hand-Picked Kit and Room to Actually Train

We're not a big chain gym with rows of identical machines nobody asked for. Every piece of strength equipment at Kilo Club has been hand-picked because it does the job properly. Whether you squat, deadlift, press or prefer functional work, you'll find kit that's been chosen with real training in mind.

Getting in is easy too. We use contactless check-in through the KISI app, so there's no faffing about with fobs or reception queues. Tap your phone and you're in.

Coaching, Recovery and a Community That Shows Up

Our in-house personal trainers are on hand if you want help with technique, programming or just a bit of accountability. Whether you're chasing a first pull-up or a competition total, there's someone here who knows how to get you there.

Training hard means recovering well, and we've got that covered on site with Liana Mitchell Sports Therapy. Sore shoulders, tight hips or a niggle that won't shift, you can sort it without leaving the building.

And because we're community-first at heart, we run monthly challenges and giveaways to keep things fun. There's always something going on, and there's always someone to chat to between sets.

Why Kingsbarns Locals Make the Trip

Kingsbarns is a lovely spot, but it's not exactly overflowing with gym options. Plenty of our members make the short trip in from Kingsbarns and the surrounding East Neuk villages because they want more than a room with a treadmill in it. They want proper equipment, knowledgeable people and a place where staff and members actually know their name.

The drive from Kingsbarns to Largo Road takes around ten minutes, and with app-based entry you can train on your own schedule rather than ours. Early sessions before work, evening lifts after the school run, whatever suits your life.
