A Coach-Led Gym Just Minutes From Rutherglen

Come As You Are, We Will Take It From There

If you are in Rutherglen and looking for a gym where you actually get looked after, come and see us. The Training Academy Glasgow sits on Drakemire Drive in Castlemilk, a short hop from Rutherglen, and we do things a wee bit differently. No wandering about the gym floor wondering what to do. Every session is led by our team of qualified coaches, so you turn up, we tell you exactly what you are doing, and we help you do it well.

Here is the big one, and we mean it: you come here to get fit and strong, not the other way about. You do not need to be in shape before you walk through the door. Loads of our members started as complete beginners, plenty of them nervous on day one. Owner Patrick McVey and the coaching team have built a place where effort gets celebrated, whatever level you are at.

One Structured Programme, Not Random Workouts

The whole week at our gym is one joined-up programme, planned by the coaches so everything works together. Strength development is the foundation, because getting stronger makes everything else in life easier, from carrying the shopping to chasing the kids about. Around that we build circuit classes for fitness, Hyrox training if you fancy a challenge, and Pilates to keep you moving well.

You also get nutritional guidance as part of your membership, plus a weekly email with food advice, explanations of what we are training and why, and video demos so nothing ever feels like a mystery. It is fitness with the thinking done for you.

Times That Work For Rutherglen Folk, Including Shift Workers

We know life around Rutherglen does not run nine to five for everyone. Sessions kick off at 6am Monday to Friday for the early birds, and we run evenings and weekends too, seven days a week. That flexibility is a big reason shift workers love training with us, because there is always a session that fits your rota.

Getting to us from Rutherglen is easy, with Drakemire Drive just a short drive away. Once you are here, you are part of the crew. Partners and friends are welcome to train together, and honestly, roping in a pal is one of the best ways to make it stick.

Membership That Fits Your Life

Membership starts from £140 a month, and it is flexible, with no lock-in on some of our plans. That covers your coach-led sessions across the week, the structured programme, and the nutrition support that comes with it. You are not paying for a keycard and a swipe, you are paying for coaching, structure and a community that wants you to succeed.

Not sure if it is for you? That is exactly what the free taster session is for. Come along, meet the coaches, try a session with zero pressure, and see how it feels. We think you will be pleasantly surprised at how welcome you feel from minute one.
