A Personal Trainer Near Stapleford Who Actually Gets It

Why people from Stapleford train with us

Let's be honest: walking into a gym for the first time (or the first time in years) is hard. If you've been putting it off because gyms feel intimidating, full of egos, or just not built for people like you, we get it. That's exactly why RB5 Personal Training exists.

We're based in Nottingham city centre, near Old Market Square, which makes us an easy trip from Stapleford whether you're heading in for work, hopping on the bus, or driving in. Plenty of our members travel in from surrounding areas because finding the right personal trainer matters more than finding the closest one.

RB5 was built by Ricky for real people: the ones recovering from injuries, the new mums finding their feet again, the over-50s who've been told fitness isn't for them anymore, and anyone who's ever felt out of place in a traditional gym. No pressure, no judgement, just genuinely supportive coaching.

Personal training that meets you where you are

Whether you want the full attention of 1-to-1 personal training or the energy and camaraderie of small or large group sessions, we build everything around you: your goals, your starting point, your life. There's no cookie-cutter programme here.

Our Group Fitness Classes are a brilliant option if you like training with others but still want proper coaching, and our Fitness Over 50s sessions are designed specifically for members who want to stay strong, mobile and confident as they get older.

If you're coming back from an injury or you're postpartum, we'll take it at your pace. Making a change is genuinely hard, and we'd rather you build something sustainable than burn out in week two.

Not sure? Start with the 30-Day Trial

We know committing to a gym feels like a big leap, especially if past experiences have put you off. That's why we offer a 30-Day Trial, so you can see how RB5 works, meet the fitness family, and find out whether we're the right fit before you commit long term.

In that first month you'll get a real feel for how we coach: fun, results-driven sessions where nobody's watching over your shoulder or making you feel small. Most people tell us the hardest part was walking through the door the first time.

Frequently asked questions

I'm in Stapleford, is it worth travelling to a gym in Nottingham?

Honestly, that depends on what you're after. If you just want somewhere to lift weights, there are gyms closer to home. But if you want a personal trainer, proper coaching and a supportive community where you won't feel judged, plenty of our members find the short trip from Stapleford into the city more than worth it.

I haven't exercised in years. Will I be able to keep up?

Yes, because you won't be asked to keep up with anyone. We work with all abilities, from complete beginners to people returning after injury. Your programme is built around your current fitness, not someone else's. Everyone at RB5 started somewhere.

What's included in the 30-Day Trial?

The trial gives you a full month to experience how we train and whether RB5 feels right for you. It's a low-pressure way to get started, meet Ricky and the team, and see real coaching in action before committing. Get in touch and we'll walk you through the options.

Do you work with people over 50 or recovering from injury?

Absolutely. We run dedicated Fitness Over 50s sessions, and we regularly coach members through injury recovery and postpartum training. We'll always adapt sessions to what your body needs right now, not what a generic plan says you should be doing.

When can I train?

We're open 6am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 12pm on Saturdays. Early sessions work well if you're commuting into Nottingham from Stapleford, and weekend mornings are popular with members who prefer to keep weekdays free.
